Date 1813
An early map of Australia, showing an uncharted south coast, though Flinders had charted it 10 years before, but was delayed publishing until 1814 by his 6 year arrest in Mauritius. At this stage, speculation was strong that the east and west coasts were split by a strait or large river to an inland sea.
