How long does it take to deliver?

We will post your print within 7 business days of ordering, usually earlier. 

Is my print in stock?

Orders are printed on demand. When your order is placed it is custom printed from our digital inventory, which enables us to fulfil orders very quickly.

How are prints sent within Australia?

Prints are carefully packaged in a protective envelope or tube and sent to you via Australia Post. Special orders - eg, express and large custom orders - may be sent by courier (usually DHL). Packages on average reach most places in Australia within three business days of postage.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we do. Please contact us for a quote for overseas shipping prior to placing your order. When packages are sent, you will be provided with a tracking number, and confirmation of delivery by signature.

Can I track my order?

Yes! We will provide you with a tracking number for Australia Post or our nominated courier.

What if my product arrives damaged?

Don't worry. Your satisfaction is our goal. If any part of your print or poster is damaged during shipping, we will send you another print.

Can I get my money back?

Do you provide framing?

No, we do not provide framing. We suggest that you visit your local framer for quality matting and framing options to suit your decor. Alternatively, inexpensive framing is available from department stores.

Is there a margin around the image to allow matting and framing?

Yes, all prints have a white border, and are printed on your choice of A4, A3, A2, A1 or A0 paper sizes, which allows you to crop to your own specifications or pop the print straight into a standard frame from your local department store. Sizes shown on product listings refer to the actual image size not including the margin.

Do you have a shopfront?

No, we are an online business.

I made a mistake and ordered the wrong item. Can I cancel my order?

If we haven’t begun printing your order (usually within 24 hours), no problem, we can cancel or vary your order. Just contact us.

My order still has not arrived. My local mail service cannot tell me where the package is. What should I do?

You can contact us and we will check the status of your delivery with the shipping company. If the package has been lost, we will immediately send you a new print!

Do you do orders for custom sizes?

Yes, we are happy provide custom orders. If the size you are after is not listed, let us know your needs and we will give you a price.

What is the optimum size for maps and images? Can I order a map smaller than A3 size?

Our images are taken from state of the art, hi-resolution digital scans used by museums, which enables them to be printed at large scale without loss of clarity. Because the original maps are often very large, if they are printed too small, text and fine detail can become difficult to make out. To ensure legibility, we recommend that highly detailed maps be printed at sizes A2 or larger. However, they are available to order from A4 to A0 size.

Are these prints originals?

No, these are reproduction prints, made from state of the art, professional scanning and printing processes. In many cases, you can’t tell them apart from the originals. 

Do you edit or alter the originals?

Digital files of the maps and images are carefully edited on a computer to remove excessive toning and blemishes, while retaining as much of the character of the original antique paper as possible. For each print our catalogue shows a sample of full resolution detail with showing the visual texture of the original paper and marks of age. Our hope and expectation is that you will think you're looking at originals once they are on your walls. 

I did not receive confirmation of my purchase. What should I do?

How long does it take for my order to reach me?

Depending on your location:

1 to 3 business days within Australia;

5 to 20 business days for International orders.

These estimates are provided by Australia Post and DHL couriers. Possible delays in delivery time may occur for orders outside Australia due to local issues, such as holidays, external events and remoteness.

Do you provide wholesale discounts?

Yes, we sell to stores and cultural/education institutions and can provide discounts for orders over $400.

I am seeking a specific map, image, or items related to a particular place, not listed in your catalogue. Can you still help me?

Yes, we may be able to help. Based on our extensive research knowledge we can seek to locate items of interest and print them for you. We can also undertake straightforward research on your behalf, however, we will let you know if investigating your query is too difficult or protracted. Please contact us.
