Creator National Capital Development Commission (NCDC)

The NCDC's first major plan for the central areas of Canberra, was based on major revisions to the 1918 Griffin Plan (gazetted 1925), including a lakefront Parliament House and a car-based inner-city freeway system (which prevails today), in place of Griffin's tramways and railway network.
