Published at the time of the International Exhibition, no detail has been spared in this extraordinary birdseye view of Melbourne, on show to the world. The view looks north across the Yarra (from above Southbank) with Flinders Street Station and Elizabeth Street centre. Southern Cross Station ('Spencer Street') is at left. The Royal Exhibition Building top right...The view is based on De Gruchy & Leigh earlier lithographic view of 1871, and makes for fascinating comparison.
