Creator Surveyor General's Office
Date 1881
A large and exceptionally detailed map of Sydney in the 1880s, showing the natural topography of the surrounding country, particularly the North Shore all the way to Broken Bay, Kuringai Chase and the Northern Beaches. Early roads and rail lines generally follow the ridges, dictating the pattern of settlement to the present day.
