'Architectural drawings of the Opera House, later the Tivoli Theatre, 249 Bourke Street Melbourne. The Tivoli was built on the site of Prince of Wales Opera House, architect, George Johnson (1872). The name was changed to Her Majesty's Opera House in 1884, then the Alhambra Theatre in 1893. After losing its licence in 1899 the theatre was rebuilt to a design by architect William Pitt and opened as the Opera House on 18 May 1901. It was renamed the Tivoli in 1912'.
