The black-footed tree-rat also known as Djintamoonga (Mesembriomys gouldii) is one of two endemic arboreal rat species from the genus Mesembriomys found in the northern regions of Australia. Called 'Hapolotis? hirsutus' or 'Long-haried hapalotis' by Gould.
